Barcelona is known for being a lover of design in all its forms, with famous architectural master pieces such as the Sagrada Familia or the Agbar Tower, hosting fashion events like the Bread&Butter or the M80 show, and with a very active artistic and cultural life. The Museum of Design of Barcelona (Museu del Disseny) is located in the Glories neighborhood, precisely in the Design Hub Building. It’s a building commonly known as “The Stapler”, build in metal and glass and highly environmentally friendly.

Its collection counts over 70.000 pieces, ranging from advertising posters to fashion design or decorative arts. Among its collection there are both permanent and temporary expositions, in addition to a Documentation Center. The Museum of Design also has workshops, conferences and colloquiums. You can also find guided tours and wheelchair lending services.

In the District of Les Glories you will find other places of interest such as the Agbar Tower, The National Theatre of Catalunya, the Museum of Music and the Temple of the Sagrada Familia.

Free entrance: Sundays afternoon, from 15 to 20 h, and the first Sunday of every month.

Important facts: The Museum of Design openned its doors the 14 of December 2014 and offers FREE ENTRANCE until the 31st of january 2015.
