First thing you should know is that in Barcelona it is very difficult to park the car on the street and it is almost impossible to do it without paying.
Park the car on the street it is only allowed to residents. Non residents are allowed only for short periods (1-3 hours). These areas are coloured by blue or green colour, which means that you have to pay. Most of the streets are already coloured so there is no room for free parking.
If you are coming by car we recommend you to park it in a private parking and then use the car only if you want to move outside Barcelona. To get around inside Barcelona, we don’t recommend you to use the car but to use the easy, fast, safe and cheap public transportation system of Barcelona. There are so many private parking in Barcelona, you will find them almost in each block, and they cost about 20-25 euros/day.
However, there are a few ones with a very competitive rates and very good service. Here are our recommendations:
